How-To Android -Auto Reject Call 4

So on Twitter one of the people I follow asked about a call block application,I repliedsaying that Android can do this out of the box and no special application is needed. I have a Samsung S2 with Android 4.0.4 running on it stock.

Android Reject List

There are a few ways you can do this. I will show you a couple here.

Way 1- By contact

  • Start by going to Contacts
  • Long press any contact name – menu will appear
    • Android Reject list
  • As you can see you can simply swipe in the menu to where you see Add to reject list
  • Select that and you are done!

Way 2 – By Phone app

  • Start by pressing the phone app. Here you will see the dialer, call go, favorites, contacts
  • Press the menu button
    • Android Reject call
  • Click on Call settings
    • Android Call Reject
  • Click on Call rejection (manage auto reject mode)
    • Android Call reject
  • Click on Auto reject list
    • Android call reject
  • You can then click the add and start blocking numbers on your Android phone.

This is a quick how-to and hopefully it helps you to better understand what is going on.

i have android 4.0.4 so where i can find these setting?

    • This article was written from a 4.0.4 device. So just follow one of the steps and you should be able to find it fairly easy.

Just remember the phone app is the dialer you press to actually make calls, see call log etc.

Press menu button (which is usually a soft key half rectangle with lines in it)

I have Android 4.0.4 and the instructions above do not work. Long pressing a number does not bring up a menu. There is no call settings item on the caller app menu, but there is a settings menu, but that settings menu does not contain call rejection. The Android version listed is apparently a misprint.

      John,
The android version at the time of writing this is accurate. What phone are you using and did you see the other option to add a number to restricted or blocked list?
